Hi Clive,

Thanks for so detailed explanation.

Is it more common and natural to say:

He's beaming a smile or

He's giving us a beaming smile.

Thanks again.

I am not Clive but I will giveit a try.

He is beaming a smile or he is beaming with a smile.

Tinanam,

It is most natural, in my opinion, to use "beaming" all on its own (eg. "He was beaming when we arrived", "She is beaming") which implies the smiling part.

"He's giving us a beaming smile" is correct, although perhaps not natural/common.

Hi,

In this kind of context, 'beaming' suggests a smile.

So, instead of He's giving us a beaming smile

it is more natural just to say He's beaming at us.
