Brightly

Hi

A rowan tree flourished, brightly sprinkled with bunches of scarlet berries.

Could "brightly" mean "densely" here? It was densely sprinkled with bunches of scarlet berries?

Top answer

Because of the use of the word sprinkled , I think 'densely' isn't meant. I think it refers more to the bright color(s) of the berries.

No, I don't think so. The berries were highlights of bright color on the tree.
