Breathe in a smell/aroma, etc.

Hello,

is it correct to say "he loved to breathe in the smell of fresh bread". I'm not sure if "breathe" is the right verb.

Could you suggest something more appropriate?

Thank You

Hotmale is it correct to say "he loved to breathe in the smell of fresh bread". I'm not sure if "breathe" is the right verb. It's OK, but it is perhaps a bit creative to speak of breathing a smell in and loving doing it.
