I'm just getting confused about the use of the word "break" as I give you an example below.
As a verb, very often, the way I use it is to describe the act of damaging something. for example "I break my glass" and "My glass is broken".
Anyway, in some case, for example, it says "This activity involves pulling their rubber bands until they break" Couldn't I say "This activity involves pulling their rubber bands until they are broken"?
What is the diffrence? and Which one is grammatically correct?
Thanks in advance,

My glass is broken, so your glass is a broken glass. The ' broken ' being used as an adjective too. And the sentence is an indirect speech.

For your sentence, ......
until they break is more appropriate.
