BrE vs AmE

As a dictionary addict, I've got a mania for looking up every single word that I don't know. While I was surfing, I read a sentence ''You look horny in that skirt.'' somewhere and I looked 'horny' up in the dictionary. And my Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dic. suggests that it is a kind of INFORMAL expression in BrE and means sexually attractive. Now my question is how can it be said in AmE to convey the very similiar meaning?

Don't use this word in polite company. In my experience, it refers to the state of arousal or feelings of the person, not their effect on others. American English: You look **** in your new bikini.

My understanding is that it means, in both forms of English, sexually excited (not sexually attractive).
