Brands?

Hello everyone Emotion: smile

Is "brand" the word to use in the following sentences:

"This trading group gathers a dozen brands of big and small supermarkets".
"One of this group's objectives is to develop the activity of the stores of the XXX brand"

By "brands", I mean the commercial names used by the stores as in Walmart, McDonalds etc.

  • I wouldn't call Walmart or McDomalds a brand name, I'd speak of it as the name of a ' chain ' of stores or restaurants.
