Brandi puts a lot of effort into keeping.....

Which of the following sentences is correct?

1) Brandi puts a lot of effort into keeping her body perfectly sculpted so that when the guys come around they have to stop and stare.

2) Brandi puts a lot of effort into keeping her body perfectly sculpted so that when the guys come around they have to stop to stare.

If both are possible, do they mean the same thing?

If so, which would you use or do you prefer?

Thank you
