Brain freeze

Sreesanth to Iqbal, no run, What was that? a slower delivery from the back of the hand, Iqbal had a brain freeze, went after it and tried to slog it across the line, no where near the ball, Sreesanth again talks to Iqbal, what a legend!

Could you please explain to me what "brain freeze" means in this context?
I guess it means "brain stopped working for a brief while".
