Braggadocious/trepidatious

Not sure on the spelling of each, but are 'trepidatious' and 'braggadocious' actual words. I hear them all the time by media professionals and others.

Have they replaced 'trepid' and 'braggadocian' in usage as the adjectives? It seems so.

Thanks.

My list spells the "B" word without the "u." (I suppose that could be an error.)

I only have "trepidation(s)." (not the adjective)
Of course I have "trepid."

There are plenty of Google refs:

I note that while dictionary.com gives an adjective entry for "braggadocious," it does not for "trepidatious," opting to give only the noun, "trepidation."

Yes, it does. Under the trepidation entry, you'll find this:

[Latin trepidatio, trepidation-, from trepidatus, past participle of trepidare, to be in a state of confusion, from trepidus, anxious.]
EOF_DEF>
BOF_DEF>trep'i·da'tious (-sh?s) adj.
