please correct it in medical english.

B.P. 140/90 mm Hg or mmHg or Hgmm or Hg mm - which one is correct?

Dear Shiva I am not a doctor, but I believe mm Hg represents the number of millimetres on a mercuy barometer (where Hg is the Periodic Table symbol for mercury) So I would say mm Hg is very clear Regards, Dave

BP 140/90 mmHg - This is mostly used in medical documents.

BP 140/90 mm Hg - It is also acceptable, but not in use.

I googled this for you and found the reference below

Unfortunately, in the graph they use mm Hg, but in the text they use mmHg

So I'm afraid I do not know the answer!

The American Medical Association (AMA) style includes a space; mm Hg. Any document utilizing AMA style would use mm Hg.
