Boyfriend, my perfect match, etc

Can I use these words to refer to someone I am romantically involved with : boyfriend, my perfect match, soulmate, love match, match.-- You can if you are a hopeless romantic.

But if I am not a hopeless romantic can I use the words 'match' and 'soulmate' interchangeably to refer to somebody I have a romantic relationship with? As far as I understand, a match refers to either a good friend or a boyfriend/girlfriend while a soulmate refers to somebody's good friend only. Am I right?

Am I right?-- No, but both terms are rather adolescent in my estimation. Both a 'match' and a 'soulmate' can be lovers; a 'soulmate' can also be anyone with most of the same feelings/desires/interests.

But since the dictionary says; A match -A person or thing that combines well with somebody/something else.Nick and George are a perfect match for each other. Then a match like soulmate can refer to anyone with
