could you please tell me what do you call the little boxes on the back of a postcard for a zip code?

Thank you. I've been searching for the word and I found "zip code template" somewhere in the net. Have you ever heard it?

I don't think they are called anything.As that's just a template for writing numbers and is same for other forms that you fill up.The boxes have no relationship with the zip code and giving it your own name would be confusing.I think at best it could be called : "the space provided for zip code"

The term "zip code" is used in American English. It doesn't mean anything in the English kind of English.

I believe "postal code" is a more appropriate name for the term. So far, the world is still using country-specific codes, in a similar way to the telephone number prefixing. Nothing is more annoying (to me) than receiving a web-site form that calls for inserting a Zip Code in a box that cannot accept my Canadian postal code.
