Box seal

hello

there is a blue (sometimes white) tape (not adhensive) that we wrap a box to prevent it from opening

that tape is fastened because we use a machine that generates heat, that will make the ends of the tape melt and thus glue each other

I need to know how this method of sealing boxes is called, is there any term similar to "cherky" ? "cherking" etc

we do this to seal trays that contain mail, etc

anyone know?

no, it is not this
I said it is not adhensive
also, it needs a specific machine to seal a box with that 'tape' (maybe it's not even called tape)

Tape is by definition adhesive. That's a kind of tensioned plastic banding or strapping, a woven polypropylene or nylon of some kind. But I've never seen any that is heat-joined. They usually have a crimping device.

Sorry I can't help you. Maybe someone else will know.
