Bought Himself A Car Or Bought A Car Himself

Hello everyone,

Is either "bought himself a car" or "bought a car himself" correct?

1. He bought himself a car.

2. He bought a car himself.

I think both are correct.

#1 means "He bought a car for himself", and #2 means "He bought a car by himself" that means he did it on his own and no one helped him.

Is the explanation correct?

Regards,

Joseph
