Bottom line

Hi,

Is it okay in informal contexts to write like this:

Bottom line: I was never going to tell him.

I see people writing 'the bottom line is that' etc. Is it necessary to do that in informal writing?

There are degrees of informality.

Bottom line: I was never going to tell him. This is more informal than writing a complete sentence.
