Both/either

I was invited to two parties, but I didn't go to ____ of them.

(1)either

> I went to one of them.


Both are acceptable, right?

It's just as you say! The second one is not typically said, however, even though it is correct. " I realize that you would not have had an answer to your question about "both" if you had written that!
