Both no longer

Can one say
a. They could both no longer work.
b. They could neither work any longer.
c. Neither of them could work any longer.
?

My feeling is that (b) is the only one that does not work.

Many thanks.

I would use only c. If you recast the first to 'They both could no longer work', then it'll be fine too.
