Is the sentence above gramatically correct? If it is correct, what's the difference between
Neither my wife nor I like salad.
and
Both my wife and I don't like salad.

They are both correct. "Neither ... nor" is a little too Boolean for casual speech, though, and for trivial statements like this one, come to think of it.
