Both conjunction and adverb

I learned/found out that the word 'however' is both a conjunction and adverb. I want to know some more words like that. Thank you.

Also, why do you think a comma is used here (if it is correctly used)? Is the word 'though' a conjunction?

He came to work regularly, though he was recovering.

Hi. Thank you.

Why do this definitional entry example sentences for the word "though" have a comma in front of it? I found it in Naver website's (Naver.com) dictionary.
