I would like to know whether it is posible to use the conjunction "both...and" to join separate clauses:

Both the price is reasonable and the place is perfect

But u can say ... Both the price and the place are reasonable and perfect. Thats how the two different clauses, the price is reasonable, and, the place is perfect are joined.

No it is wrong.But u can say ... Both the price and the place are reasonable and perfect. Thats how the two different clauses, the price is reasonable, and, the place is perfect are joined.

I don't think "both...and..." works in clause coordination unless there is ellipsis.


The price is reasonable and the place is perfect.


The price is both reasonable and perfect. (OK)
