Boss and Master (lower vs. uppercase)

Should "boss" be capitalized in the following?

"Sure thing, boss."

What about "master"? For example:

"Yes, master," he said with his head down.

Or should "master" only be capitalized when followed by a name?

Thanks.

Hi,

A small cultural note.

In N. America, nobody addresses their boss as 'master'.
I know some people address their boss as 'boss', but I've never worked in a place where people did that.

I wasn't asking about calling a boss "master." I was asking about someone calling their boss "boss" and then gave an example of somebody else calling their master "master."

An example of someone calling somebody "boss" would be like a mafia goon calling his leader "boss."

As you wish.

I doubt that very many people in N. America today call anyone 'master'.
I suppose butlers might. Or masochists.

I’m sure the OP, a native speaker of English, is aware of this. I believe that he is writing a novel.

I'm well aware about the uncommonness of actually hearing anyone call anyone else "master" in this day and age. And, yes, I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. The "master" thing would have to apply to another time period, or used for satirical purposes.

If you use a capital 'M', the word is a proper noun and should not have an article.
eg I don't understand why Master is so strict with his daughter.

If you use a lower case 'M', the word is not a proper noun, and the normal rules for articles and other determiners apply.
