Philip is right. "Be born" is an idiomatic verbal phrase. There is a verb "bear" to mean "give birth to", but it is rarely used in speech. The passive form of "bear" is "be borne", not "be born".
The Virgin Maria bore our Savor.
Our Savor was borne by the Virgin Maria.
