Hi! In Portuguese we have a word that defines 'books' which are made of parts of other books. Those parts are set together and form a new book, usually with learning purposes. Is there such a word for that in English? Thanks.

If the individual parts are summarized, not just copied, it can be called a digest; (As in the popular magazine "Reader's Digest")
