Books

Hi there, I'm looking to get started teaching basic English and was wondering if anyone could recommend any books to get me started? I'm not a graduate but I did study a medical degree at university for three years and have an A grade at A level in English. I also speak fluent french. Any advice you could give me regarding advertising would also be greatly appreciated. Claire
