Bookmarket would break

Can you please explain to me what the underlined parts mean? I looked up the words in a dictionary, but still the meaning is not clear to me.Thanks in advance.

1. We have a generation of non readers and I became convinced that schools would be the place where the electronic book market would break

2. it can be intimidating for them( teachers who have to use computers in classrooms) , but they have to buy into the technological age .

3. Arkansas is under a state Supreme Court mandate to overhaul a public education system that the court has declared inadequate and inequitable.
