0 I do not have it, but I have read it, and do not reccomend it. I found that I could predict what would happen before even reading halfway into it. The literary elements are weak and don't offer anything between the lines that isn't already appearent.

0 you can't see the forest for the trees...it's not about the elements and the lines, it's about true feelings: hate, love, compassion...you have to have an open mind and open heart to understand...if you think you can write a more touching story, then I'd like to read it! 0-

0 I'd agree with the 2nd anonymous on this one. "The Scarlet Ibis" is about depth of feeling, and it does its job well. The primary metaphor in the story, that of the ibis as Doodle, the brother, isn't trying to hide.02br
