Hi teachers,Which is it "take a stare" or "take a stair" or "take a dare" in this song or anything else?  I have a link below from Babyfirst TV.  It's the second verse.  Thank you.Listen to the sounds as they fill the air.  Bonnie's magic brush will take a __Tinanam

In a song, a "verse" is a set of lines (typically four, but it could be some other number) that is sung to a particular melody. This melody is repeated a number of times throughout the song, and each repetition constitutes a different verse. In a traditional song, verses alternate with the "chorus", which is sung to a different tune. Unlike the verses, the chorus has the same words each time it is sung.

In your example, the second verse starts at the second instance of "Listen to the sounds as they fill the air".

Thanks again for the explanation. My last mail I forgot to ask about "take us there", which I misunderstood it as "take a stare". If I have to pronounce "take a stare", do I pronounce "a" lightly and quickly, while "us" is more heavily pronounced?

Sorry for the delay in replying.

In ordinary pronunciation (that is, assuming the speaker is not making a big effort to enunciate every word as clearly and individually as possible), the main difference between "take a stare" and "take us there" is the difference between "t" and "th".

If there was a word "sthare" (which there isn't) then "take us there" and "take a sthare" would be hard to distinguish. Similarly, if "take us tare" made sense then it would be hard to distinguish from "take a stare".
