Can I only use boil as a verb when the object is in liquid form? On the hand, is poach only applicable when the object is solid? Thank you so much in advance
Top answer
We boil water. We boil potatoes in water. We poach eggs, fish or chops in liquid that is not quite at the boiling temperature.
