Board of Directors

is it proper to address a letter dear Board of Directors? or Dear Board members?

Top answer

In a letter addressing the Board of Directors (as a group), the salutation can be addressed to the members: Dear Directors. If you know the head of the Board, you might address it thus : Dear Chairman XX and Members of the Board. This is my suggestion.

Hi,

Are you sure you want to write to all the people on the Board in this manner?

An alternative to consider would be to write to the Chairman. and send copiies (cc) to the rest of the Board.
