Blow things up

Hello

All of this was considered a very positive development. At least we were no longer blowing things up.

--- What other expression can I use instead of "blowing things up," something that means exactly the same?

Thanks

It depends on which definition you want. "Blowing things up" can mean "greatly exaggerating things" or "distroying things with explosives"

Or maybe they were blowing up balloons?

Hi

There is something about petrol bombs in the text, so I guess they were destroying things with explosives.

Thanks guys!
