Blood frenzy

(warrior to warrior): "You are the one who goes into the worst blood frenzies out of all of us."
Can you tell me what "blood frenzy" means? Does it mean:
1) The warrior is frenzied by blood when there's one.
2) When there's bloodshed, the warrior has attacks of thirst for blood (I mean, killing).

Top answer

A 'blood frenzy' suggests to me that he is sent into a frenzy when in a battle and blood is being shed. Perhaps he wants to kill and is no longer in control of his actions in such a situation, He wants to cause harm to the enemy and is not bothered by anything around him. He has 'bloodlust' which is another way of saying that he craves killing his enemies.
