what is the difference between blood test and blood chemistries?

blood test is generally done to test proper functioning of human body. whereas, blood chemistry is the fusion of blood chemicals available in the blood.

I wanted to add that "blood tests" are often performed to check if the blood found in a suspicious place corresponds to that of a suspect, or even to trace parenthood.

I don't know if I got it right- blood chemistry shows the state your blood is in? For example, if you eat too much sugar, this will be reflected on/in your blood chemistry. Am I right?
