blondE as an adjective

Hi there,

I wonder if you, native speakers, still use blondE as an adjective describing a fair color of female`s hair, or 'blond' prevails for both sexes?

Thanks for your answers in advance.

I also use "blonde" and prefer to see it written that way despite using AmE.

I believe it truly is a choice.
