block fair

Everyone in our family contributed something to the block fair. Dad baked pies, Mom brought tablecloths, and I played the guitar.

I guess it means that everyone cooperates in 'my' family, right?

Amazing! I'm just doing an exercise about analysis of word meanings. And the word is 'contribute'! You're a real foreigner! OK, it's a dull joke... Thank you!

I think you just glance at this sentence and get the point off the bat. I consider it as a kind of foreigner's or native speaker's sensitivity. A problem confused me for a long time is just a piece of cake for you. It's so absurdity and interesting! Haha...
