blink [To flash on and off]

Would you like to give a few phrase about blink used in this sense?

For example, I do not know whether or not it is correct, "To blnk the torch."

Thank you.

OK casually, but 'blink' does not usually take an object, so probably more commonly, to make the torch blink. (BrE)

blink the flashlight; make the flashlight blink (AmE)
