I believe that's what we call 'touch typing' in the U.S. I'm not familiar with any studies of touch typing as an aid to learning English. Maybe others can comment.

Yes most likely it's touch typing. Actually the question can be transform in a next one. When one must start to study/practice touch typing, with which level of English? The sooner the better, or the later the better?
