Blend together

1) If I have to absorb a lot information which seems confusing (because there is just so much to remember), can I say that it all just blends together?

2) "Would you be so kind as to send me the documents?" Can I use this in formal emails or will it come out too stiff? I know that I could say something like: ''I'd be very grateful if you could.... or Could you send me...," but I'd like to know if I can use this one as well.
