blast of sound OR blast of the sound?

Why do I see sentences with this phrase 'blast of sound.' I thought there should be an article before sound. Am I right or wrong?

It depends on the context. If he was hit by a blast of sound, no. If he was hit by the blast of the sound projector or something, yes.

Please post an example sentence where "blast of sound" occurs without an article. I can't think of one offhand.

Perhaps it is the name of a band: eg.

Blast of Sound released their first album.
