1. Don't blame me.

2. Don't put the blame on me.

I'd like to understand if there's any difference in meaning between the following two sentences:

1. Don't blame me.

2. Don't put the blame on me.

No difference in meaning.

In 1 'blame' is a verb. In 2 'blame' is a noun.

It's just two ways of saying the same thing.
