Black bird - translation

Depending on stress fall, a phrase can have different meaning. For example, if the stress falls on the green in 'green house,' it means the glass house for growing plants, if on house, it means a house whose color is green.

What about this one: black bird.

My book says it is 'a nest used by blackbirds' if the stress falls on black.

if the stress is there, I thought it belongs to a particular type of the black bird. What do you think about my book's translation?

The book is confused. A black BIRD is any bird of that colour (a black chicken, for instance). A BLACKbird (one word, by the way) is the name of several particular species.
