Vocabulary

bits and pieces

Can you please help me with these sentences:

1) I study English for work, travel and socializing. Does this sentence imply that I am studying English because I am actually working in an international environment and I need English to communicate with people? Is it possible to add nuances in order to say that I am study English because I want to improve my career prospect or my chances to travel in the future?

2) I play football all weekend.
Does it means that I continuously play football during the weekend (e.g. Sat and Sun) or that I play football every weekend?

3)I think Spanish is not very difficult.
This sentence doesn't sound quite right, does it?

4)On a book I found these:

' There you are'  she said smiling. 'How do you fancy a day out?'
'Love to...' replied Noah.[...]

Why is that 'How do you fancy...' instead of 'Do you fancy a day out?'. Am I missing something?

5) 'oh I could go just for one day or two...' I said. They wouldn't even know I was gone.'
Should not it be : They wouldn't even know I had gone or perhaps the extra glass of wine yesterday doesn't help me concentrate :-P ?

Thanks a lot Clive. One more question in relation to point 1 and point 2, if you don't mind.
1)How would you rephrase the sentence in order to say that you are not presently using English for those three activities but you would like to?
2) Does it mean both (i.e. I regularly play football on Sat and Sun) ?

thanks in advance!
