"Bit" vs "Bitten"

Which is correct in each—"bit" or "bitten"?


1. The mosquito had bit/bitten me on the nose.


2. I was bit/bitten by a mosquito.


3. He got bit/bitten by a mosquito.

I prefer bitten.

I would only use "bitten".

Although I occasionally say bit I would not write it nor recommend it to anyone else.

It is very regional. My southern cousins use 'bit' much more than I do.
