Vocabulary

bish, bosh

i read these sentences in the book 'Esio Trot' of Roald dahl.

He flung open his front door and flew down the stairs two at a time with the love-songs of a thousand cupids ringing in his ears. This is it! he whispered to himself under his breath. The greatest moment of my life is coming up now! I mustn't bish it. I mustn't bosh it! I must keep very calm!

in my dictionary, bosh means 'something that you think is silly, not good, or not ture'. but it also says that the word is 'old fashioned' word of BrE. And bish? I couldn't find it.
Please, someone give me some help.

"I must not make a mistake in this matter". Bish is dated British slang for (make) a mistake . I think Dahl probably included Bosh as a fun play on the words, because it sounds like Bish .
