Birthdays are good for you

Hello people,
Thanks a lot all of you just because you are here.
Today I have a special day and one friend of mine sent me a message with remark
Birthdays are good for you. Is it some idiom? What does it mean?
My best, Thyme

It's not an idiom. It's a friend's quirky comment which I can't explain. Ask him/her when you see him/her.

It's a bit of a joke. There's an expression, "Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show, those you have the most birthdays live the longest." It's true and supposed to be funny. It's sometimes written as "Birthdays are good for you. The more (birthdays) you have the longer you live."

Hello there,
I was wrongly setting this question without my login (it was birthday, busy day).
Thanks a lot all of you, Thyme
