Describing your birthday
My essay:
I was born in March. I often arranged some events such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc. at my home. But this year, I did not have any arrangements for my birthday.
I am a teacher at Khayyam high school and have been teaching physics here for six months. There is a great relationship between my colleagues. I have gotten on with them and everyone knows everything like birthdays, special occasions, information about husband and children and much more. They celebrated my birthday in high school and it was amazing and unexpected. They tricked me before the celebration and none of them made me feel that it was my birthday.
I was in the office and was talking with the headmaster, MS Zakeri while one of my colleagues was entering with a cake. Other colleagues joined us and sang a birthday song for me. I was shocked because I did not expect them to celebrate my birthday. This birthday celebration was different from the other birthday. I usually celebrated my birthday at home or the university when was a student. However, this time it happened at my office. They did not allow me to cut the cake and pasted it on my face and took many photographs. I ordered the birthday cake and brought home but this time, the cake was homemade. One of my colleagues had made the cake at her home only for me. We had an enjoyable time together. Then, they gave me birthday gifts. Some of my students also participated in the party and I enjoyed it more as they were with me. In fact, it was a different experience that I never had before. Afterward, we had cake pieces, sweets, snacks, and tea. There was a lot of fun, laughter, and jocks. Then, I ordered some food from a new restaurant where is near our high school. We had lunch together.
Finally, the party finished and I came back home. I was surprised to find so many lovely gifts. I thanked my colleagues and students for celebrating my birthday in such a great way.
