Birth of a Baby Letter

Can I get feedback on the letter that I wrote? Thanks!

Dear June,

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby! I am so happy to hear that both mother and child are healthy.
There is nothing more exciting than the feeling of bringing a new life into the world.

You and Jim are a great couple and I am sure you will be fantastic parents for John. He is very lucky to
have you for his parents. Here is to many years of happiness for all of you.

Sincerely,
Mark

Dear June, I've know you and Jim for years, and I just have to ask, "What were you two thinking?" The absolute last thing the world needs is a little half-copy of each of you.

No, no, scratch that. Your version is much better, and is in fact, a graceful an gracious missive.
