Bioinformactics vs computer science (computational biology)

Computer science is a part of Bioinformatics, but Bioinformatics is not computer science.

'Bioinformatics' is used to mean 2 things:

1) The use of information technology to maintain biological data.

2) The study of gene sequencing using information technology.

The 2nd meaning is now beginning to predominate.
