My teacher just circles things that need to be corrected and one of the things circled was "there have been." It's in this sentence, "For all the good times in his life, there have been bad times." Why is that incorrect. Would it be "there has been?"
Top answer
It depends on the context. Maybe it should have been "there were". CJ
