bigger longer shorter smaller

How would you phrase the sentence?

This street is so much shorter/smaller than I thought. I thought it was a lot longer/bigger.

shorter/longer [ I don't think we normally consider the size of a street, unless it's a boulevard that has 4 lanes going each way, when it would be broad . ]
