"...big hassle..."

"I hope I'm not giving you a big hassle."

Does this sound like a natural thing to say? The context is that I'm asking one of my teachers to do something for me that is likely to take up some of her time.

Thank you

Hi, It's very natural, but possibly a lttle too informal for a teacher. It depends on your relationship. " Clive

Hi,
It's very natural, but possibly a lttle too informal for a teacher. It depends on your relationship.

A touch less informal is "I hope I'm not giving you a lot of trouble."

Thanks for replying, Clive.

I think I'll say the version you suggested just to err on the side of caution.

Just wondering. From a language point of view, would this be grammatical and natural as well? 'I hope I'm not giving a big hassle to you'.

Thank you again
